Lead Embedded Developer

Svaya is looking for a lead embedded systems engineer. You will participate in the development of robot control and automation firmware stack from high-level conceptual design to code development, implementation, and testing. You will work closely with engineers from various disciplines (mechanical, electronics, motion planning) to implement your ideas and developments in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for embedded systems firmware development for drive controller, industrial automation and safety devices
• You will play an essential role in rapidly iterating embedded firmware concepts, and in helping realize them from lab to real world with utmost reliability
• Play a pivotal role in design reviews, and provide constructive guidance for robust and reliable hardware and software engineering
• Participate and assist with high-level analysis, design, test procedures and code reviews

Key Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of communication interfaces: Ethernet, EtherCAT, CAN, RS-232, 422, 485, USB, I2C, SPI etc.
• Exposure to real-time operating system (RTOS) is a plus.
• Strong communication, and presentation skills
• A willingness to explore new technologies and unfamiliar concepts
• Passion for learning about building hardware + software systems
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Embedded Developer

Qualifications

ME/ MTech  in electrical, electronics or related discipline
