Machine Vision Engineer – Hyderabad

Job Summary

Svaya Robotics is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Vision Engineer to design, develop, and implement vision systems that enable machines to perceive and interpret visual data. The ideal candidate will have experience in computer vision, image processing, optics, and automation, and will play a key role in improving quality control, automation, and smart decision-making in our processes.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop machine vision algorithms for inspection, recognition, guidance, measurement, and quality control applications.

  • Integrate cameras, lighting systems, lenses, and image acquisition hardware.

  • Select and configure appropriate machine vision hardware and software (e.g., Cognex, Keyence, Halcon, OpenCV, etc.).

  • Calibrate and validate vision systems to ensure high accuracy and reliability.

  • Collaborate with software, electrical, and mechanical engineers to integrate vision systems into automated environments (e.g., robotics, production lines).

  • Perform image data analysis and develop reports to support production and quality assurance.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot machine vision systems in live production environments.

  • Stay current with emerging trends in vision technology, deep learning, and industrial automation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 2 to 5 Years experience in the role.

  • Strong knowledge of image processing and computer vision algorithms.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, ROS2.

  • Experience with machine vision software platforms (e.g., OpenCV, Halcon, MATLAB, LabVIEW Vision, etc.).

  • Familiarity with camera interfaces and standards (GigE, USB3 Vision, Camera Link).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Mathematically strong.
  • Integration of various sensors (2D/3D cameras, Lidar, IMU etc)
  • Familiarity with machine vision frameworks like mlpack, tensorflow, pytorch etc.
  • Deploymnet of vision solutions with using GPU acceleration (CUDA, TensorRT).
  • Familiarity with agile, version control(GIT) and ci/cd pipelines.
