Electronics Lab Technician
Job Summary
An experienced Electronics Technician with hands-on expertise in PCB assembly, soldering, testing, and rework. Skilled in supporting lab operations, maintaining equipment, and assisting in R&D and production environments, particularly in defense and Robotics.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hand soldering and rework of SMT and PTH components.
Assist in PCB assembly (surface mount, through-hole, and mixed technologies).
Conduct card-level testing and troubleshooting of electronic circuits.
Operate lab equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
Assist in R&D activities and prototype development.
Maintain proper documentation and test records.
Identify and help resolve customer complaints and supplier rejections.
Ensure compliance with ESD safety and IPC standards.
Train and guide junior technicians when required.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of electronics components (passive & active)
Good understanding of PCB and Circuits
Hands-on experience in manual soldering and rework techniques
Basic knowledge of testing and debugging circuits
Qualification
Diploma/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent
Experience
3 t0 6 years in electronics manufacturing/assembly
Experience in Defense & Robotics projects is an advantage
Background in production and R&D environments
