Electronics Lab Technician
Job Summary
An experienced Electronics Technician with hands-on expertise in PCB assembly, soldering, testing, and rework. Skilled in supporting lab operations, maintaining equipment, and assisting in R&D and production environments, particularly in defense and Robotics.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform hand soldering and rework of SMT and PTH components.
• Assist in PCB assembly (surface mount, through-hole, and mixed technologies).
• Conduct card-level testing and troubleshooting of electronic circuits.
• Operate lab equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
• Assist in R&D activities and prototype development.
• Maintain proper documentation and test records.
• Identify and help resolve customer complaints and supplier rejections.
• Ensure compliance with ESD safety and IPC standards.
• Train and guide junior technicians when required.
Required Skills & Knowledge
• Strong knowledge of electronics components (passive & active)
• Good understanding of PCB and Circuits
• Hands-on experience in manual soldering and rework techniques
• Basic knowledge of testing and debugging circuits
Qualification
Diploma/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent
Experience
• 3 t0 6 years in electronics manufacturing/assembly
• Experience in Defense & Robotics projects is an advantage
• Background in production and R&D environments
